Bashmagh Border in Kurdistan Province Fully Prepared to Welcome 300,000 Arbaeen Pilgrims
The Director of the Bashmagh Border in Marivan County has announced the border's readiness to accommodate 300,000 pilgrims during this year's Arbaeen pilgrimage. Highlighting the enhanced infrastructure and operational preparedness, Hamidreza Abdulmalaki assured that the terminal is capable of handling even larger numbers of pilgrims if needed.

Abdulmalaki elaborated on the extensive preparations, stating:
"The border infrastructure has been optimized to ensure uninterrupted services for pilgrims. This includes upgrades to shelters for processions, water supply systems, sanitary facilities and the equipping of entry and exit gates."
He also stressed that the border's passenger halls are fully operational and ready to welcome pilgrims. Additionally, contingency measures have been put in place, with outer gates prepared to enter service if necessary to manage increased traffic flow.
In his remarks, Mr. Abdulmalaki provided updates on the parking facilities near the border:
• Border parking lots have been sanded to facilitate smooth vehicle operations.
• Parking capacity has been expanded to accommodate approximately 2,300 vehicles.
• Security for these parking areas will be managed by qualified companies, ensuring a safe and organized experience for travelers.
The measures reflect comprehensive planning and coordination aimed at enhancing the comfort, safety and efficiency of the pilgrimage, underscoring the significant role of the Bashmagh Border in facilitating this sacred journey.
