2.5 Million Tons of Goods Transported via International Fleets in 1st month of the current Iranian Year
The Director General of the Department for Transit and International Transport of the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization reported the transport of 2.424 million tons of goods through approximately 106,000 international fleet trips during 1st month of the current Iranian Year via national border areas.

According to Javad Hedayati, 186,600 tons of goods were imported through over 8,400 trips by road fleets, while over 1.005 million tons of goods were exported via over 43,000 international fleet trips.
Additionally, 1.232 million tons of transit goods passed through Iranian territory in 54,500 trips. The total volume of imports, exports, and transit in the first month of the year reflects a 6% increase compared to the same period last year.
Mr. Hedayati also highlighted the activity of 26 borders across 12 provinces, supported by 40,000 vehicles and 51,000 drivers in the country’s international transport sector. He added that 1,870 international goods transportation companies and 59 passenger transport companies and branches are currently operating in Iran.
This growth underscores the vital role of Iran’s borders in facilitating international trade and transit.
