As reported by Mr. Haddadzadegan, the project, located in Khorasan Razavi (Central) Province, commenced in 2023, designed to separate freight and passenger traffic, streamlining operations and accelerating the flow of commercial fleets. The initiative is expected to be operational by the end of the year.

Key components of the project include the construction of an 11,000-square-meter road, a 25,000-square-meter parking lot, and a new passenger building spanning over 3,200 square meters. Additionally, a 70,000-square-meter parking area is being developed to accommodate heavy freight fleets.

Haddadzadegan stressed the strategic importance of the Dogharoon, lying on the border between Iran and Afghanistan. “Establishing the necessary infrastructure for heavy goods transport will significantly enhance trade through this vital border,” he added.
The project underscores Iran's commitment to boosting trade and transport networks in the region, leveraging the border's geographical position to facilitate cross-border commerce.
