Amtrak has announced its Falling Fares Sale, which offers up to 25% off fares on routes across the country.

The discount is available on Coach & Acela Business Class fares booked from Thursday 02 October through Tuesday 07 October for travel between Tuesday 14 October and Thursday 18 December.

Routes in the sale include Acela, Amtrak Cascades, Auto Train, California Zephyr, Capitol Corridor, Cardinal, Carolinian/Piedmont, City of New Orleans, Coast Starlight, Crescent, Downeaster, Empire Builder, Floridian, Heartland Flyer, Hiawatha, Illinois Services, Lake Shore Limited, Michigan Services, Northeast Regional, San Joaquin, Southwest Chief, Sunset Limited, Texas Eagle, and the Vermonter.

Amtrak Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Eliot Hamlisch, said:

Our nationwide flash sale is an invitation to experience the comfort, convenience, and value that only Amtrak can offer.

Amtrak has stated that ticket availability is limited, with blackout dates falling on Tuesday 11 November and Monday 21 November through to Monday 1 December.

Sample fares include single tickets from Baltimore to New York at 42 USD, Los Angeles to Sacramento at 61 USD and Portland, Oregon to Seattle at 30 USD.
