PMO’s Maritime Deputy Honors Seafarers: Your Sacrifices Secured Essential Goods Supply Amid Crisis

Allahmorad Afifipour, Acting Deputy for Maritime Affairs of the Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO), in a message marking June 25 (​Day of the Seafarer), commemorated the memory of those lost at sea and praised the irreplaceable role of Iranian seafarers in maintaining the essential goods supply chain and successfully navigating high-risk conditions, emphasizing that Iran's honor at sea is owed to the high spirit and sacrifice of this hardworking group.

"June 25, Day of the Seafarer, is a valuable opportunity to honor the efforts, sacrifices, and irreplaceable services of the men and women who, across the seas, responsibly and committedly walk the path of securing the trade chain, maritime transport, and elevating the country's economy.

This year, this occasion is being commemorated under conditions where honorable and zealous Iranian seafarers, in the shadow of professional commitment, patriotic spirit, and national responsibility, have once again displayed lasting examples of courage, endurance, and self-sacrifice during the country's difficult and sensitive days. The continuation of maritime activities, maintaining the flow of essential goods transport, and fulfilling responsibilities in complex and high-risk conditions have shown that Iranian seafarers have always been among the firm pillars of economic security and national authority.

While honoring the memory of all seafarers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, I extend my congratulations on Seafarer's Day to all hardworking seafarers of the Islamic Republic of Iran, their patient and esteemed families, and all activists in the country's maritime community, and sincerely appreciate their valuable services.

Undoubtedly, the honor and pride of dear Iran at sea are owed to the high spirit, expertise, sacrifice, and round-the-clock efforts of you dear ones. I pray to the Almighty God for health, ever-increasing success, and safe seafaring for all of you.
