Kansas City Southern Rail to invest on construction and improvement projects this year

TIN news:         Kansas City Southern Railway Company (KCSR) is planning to invest $20.9m this year on construction and improvement projects on its Mexico and Roodhouse Subdivisions, with work planned between Clark, Missouri, and Roodhouse, Illinois, US.
 
The projects are expected to grow capacity, as well as maintain and improve safety on KCS' cross-border network.
 
Work under these projects is scheduled to begin on 14 July and continue until the end of September.

Scope of work will include the replacement of four miles of rail and 132,000 cross ties, as well as improvements to over 60 road crossings.
 
KCSR will carry out these works through Clark, Centralia, Mexico, Laddonia, Farber, Vandalia, Curryville, Bowling Green and Louisiana, as well as Pleasant Hill, Nebo, Pearl, Hillview and Roodhouse.

In Missouri, KCSR owns and operates 396 miles of railroad and it also provides service to an intermodal facility in Kansas City; the river ports of St. Louis and Kansas City and six transload facilities in the state.
 
The company owns and operates 239 miles of railroad and serves three transload facilities in Illinois.
