NetJets takes delivery of first Challenger ۳۵۰

TIN news:   NetJets has become launch customer for the Bombardier Challenger 350, following the handover of the first super-midsize business jet to the fractional ownership pioneer late last month.

The company placed a firm order in May 2013 for 75 of the revamped Challenger 300s, and is planning to take delivery of eight aircraft this year.

NetJets has an inventory of more than 700 business jets worldwide, consisting of 20 models including Cessna Citations, Embraer Phenoms and Dassault Falcons.

However, the Berkshire Hathaway-owned company is renewing and streamlining its fleet as part of its 10-year strategy, and plans to offer no more than two models in each category.

Since 2010 NetJets has placed orders and options for up to 670 new business jets, valued at $17.6 billion.

The orders include 125 light-cabin Phenom 300s – of which it has received 24 – 60 super-large and long-range Global 5000 and 6000s, of which 14 are now in service, and 75 Challenger 605s.

Deliveries of the large-cabin business jet are set to begin early next year. All NetJets aircraft are equipped with its bespoke interior, Signature Series, which features advanced in-flight entertainment and a customised cabin.
