Shell & MOH Aviation launches first fuelling operations at Skyros Airport in Greece

TIN news:   Shell & MOH Aviation has launched the first fuelling operations at Skyros Island National Airport, operating at the island of Skyros in Greece.
The company is a joint venture (JV) formed by UK-based Shell Overseas and Greece-based oil refining and product trading company Motor Oil (Hellas) Corinth Refineries.
Shell Aviation Europe and South Africa general manager Adam Harrison said: “With this latest addition to the Shell Aviation network, Shell & MOH Aviation will provide our world-class safety and operational standards to yet another airport partnership.

Shell & MOH Aviation will be able to boost its network as the Skyros Airport’s first sole fuel operator, offering fuel and related services to airlines serving the airport.
Shell & MOH Aviation CEO Petros Zorapas said: “We are proud to have started fuelling operations at Skyros Airport today.
“It is our commitment to further invest in, and support Greek tourism during this difficult period for Greece. I would like to thank the support of the local community and authorities which was vital to the successful completion of the project.
“We hope this investment will encourage charter flights to bring new routes to the Island of Skyros, leading to an increase in tourism levels.”
Skyros Airport is located in the Northern Sporades Island in the Aegean Sea, about 17km from the town of Skyros.
It handled more than 10,700 passengers last year, representing 29% more passenger traffic than in 2014.
Shell Aviation supplies fuel at nearly 900 airports across 36 countries.
