Copenhagen Airport reports ۷.۶% rise in passenger traffic in April

TIn news:   Copenhagen Airport in Denmark has reported a year-on-year increase of 7.6% in April's passenger traffic
A total of 2.29 million passengers travelled through the airport during the month.
According to Copenhagen Airport CEO Thomas Woldbye, the recent growth is attributed to the opening of airline easyJet's new route to Lyon, France, and new routes to Boston opened by SAS and Norwegian.
Other factors include larger aircraft and an increase in passengers arriving in Denmark for leisure or business purposes.

"Our large route network and high frequency of service makes it easy to come to Denmark."

Woldbye said: "Denmark is an attractive tourist destination, and the number of tourists visiting Denmark is growing strongly.
"Airlines such as Ryanair and Norwegian carry a lot of holiday-makers travelling in and out of Denmark, but travellers coming to Denmark on business also account for a big part of the traffic increase.
"In the first quarter of 2016, the volume of business travellers inbound to Copenhagen grew by 16%.
"Our large route network and high frequency of service makes it easy to come to Denmark, and for many companies that it an important factor when deciding where to place their business and investments."
A total of 8.39 million passengers travelled through Copenhagen Airport in the first four months of 2016, which constitutes an 11.7% rise compared to 2015.
