Iran welcomes Poland’s oil, gas investment

TIN news:   Iran's ambassador in Warsaw has said the country welcomes joint investment ventures by Polish companies with Iranian counterparts in the oil and gas sectors.
In a meeting with Polish Energy Minister Krzysztof Tchórzewski, Iran's Ramin Mehmanparast further underlined the two countries' cooperation capacities in trade and economy.
The Iranian official also discussed collaboration in areas of fossil fuels, oil and gas, nuclear energy and renewable energies.
Mehmanparast called the participation of Polish firms in Iran International Oil and Gas Exhibition an opportunity to promote mutual cooperation.
Tchorzewski referred to his government's determination for cooperation with Iran noting, "energy is one of the major areas of cooperation for the two sides".
He added that the Polish government is seeking to diversity in meeting energy needs and given its numerous capabilities in fossil energy sector, Iran can serve as a good partner for Poland.
Tchorzewski expressed the companies' readiness to take part in Iranian oil and gas projects and investment in the field.
A 35-member delegation from Polish oil and gas companies will arrive in Tehran on May 6 to attend the International Oil and Gas Exhibition.
