Austrian airlines to add new flights to Iran

TIN news:   Austrian Airlines is keen on expanding its flight service to Iran, offering extra weekly flights to Tehran from the summer of 2016.
Speaking in a press conference, Chief Commercial Officer of Austrian Airlines Andreas Otto said the company is also interested to launch a direct flight between Vienna and the historical province of Isfahan in near future, IRNA reported.

'In light of the removal of sanctions and the growing demands of the Austrian people, the airlines is set to increase its direct flights to Iran,' he added.

Two weeks ago, Lufthansa's low-budget subsidiary, Eurowings, said it will launch flights to Tehran, becoming the latest European carrier to announce
service for one of Asia's main commercial capitals, the company announced on its official homepage.

The airline will start a weekly service from Cologne-Bonn Airport to the Iranian capital by the end of March 2016 before doubling its weekly flights (Tuesday and Thursday) effective May 2016.

The route will be operated by an Airbus A330, the company stated.
