KazAvtoZhol partners with IRU for safer, more secure roads in Kazakhstan

TIN news:   Ermek Kizatov, Chairman of the Board for KazAvtoZhol, and Dmitry Cheltsov who leads IRU’s work in Eurasia, signed an agreement today, to bring extensive data on secure parking areas and road-side infrastructure along Kazakhstan’s roads to the IRU’s TRANSPark app.

In a plenary session on “Innovations and modern technologies in road construction”, Mr Cheltsov further showcased how public-private partnerships such as the IRU Model Highway Initiative, as well as the harmonisation of national legislation with UN facilitation and security instruments, can serve as a catalyst for sustainable development in the region.

In a separate meeting with Asset Assavbayev, Chairman of the Transport Committee of the Ministry for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr Cheltsov discussed the current situation in the international road transport market. He underlined opportunities for developing transport in Asia and potential benefits from the current geographical expansion of TIR in Asia and TIR risk management tools.
