IRU champions road transport excellence in Eurasia
Recognising best practice across a range of areas including economic performance, corporate social responsibility and environment, IRU has today announced the winners of the “Best Eurasian Road Transport Operator” award at the 19th IRU-AsMAP UA International Conference in Odessa.
Recognising best practice across a range of areas including economic performance, corporate social responsibility and environment, IRU has today announced the winners of the “Best Eurasian Road Transport Operator” award at the 19th IRU-AsMAP UA International Conference in Odessa.
Chairman of the jury, THADA Chairman, Bekmurad Eeberdyev, who is also President of the IRU Liaison Committee to Eurasia and a member of IRU’s Presidential Executive, said: “The jury had a very difficult task to choose winners in each category from so many candidates nominated by the respective national associations.
In these ever-changing times, the crucial nature of the road transport industry to communities and economies the world over remains undiminished. Today, road transport’s role across all logistics and mobility chains is only becoming more important”.
This year’s winners are:
- Up to 10 vehicles category: “Transconsult Brest” Ltd. (Belarus) and Self-employed Entrepreneur Akhmejanova Nuriya Ilyasovna (Kazakhstan);
- 11 to 50 vehicles category: “Liga Trans” OOO (Russia) and “Ilzat Trans” LLC (Kyrgyzstan);
- More than 50 vehicles category: “Trans Logistic” LLC (Ukraine).
The jury also awarded special certificates to “TRANSFRIGO” SRL (Moldova) for maintaining an ecologically-friendly fleet, to Self-employed Entrepreneur Kiselnikov Yuri Anatolyevich (Russia) for growing and renewing their fleet and to “D-Trans” Group of Companies (Russia) for leading the first inland China TIR transports and helping promote the TIR system.
Winners from Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine were presented with trophies and certificates by IRU President, Christian Labrot and IRU Secretary General, Umberto de Pretto.
