Mobility software technology firm Renovo has announced a partnership to integrate its AWare system with connected car services and transportation analytics provider INRIX’s OpenCar solution.
Intended to provide additional value to automated mobility vehicle users, the partnership will also see a collection of new information from highly automated vehicle (HAV) data.
AWare is an automated mobility operating system, while OpenCar is an end-to-end solution designed to offer optimal experience to automakers, drivers and content providers.
Renovo CEO and co-founder Chris Heiser said: “Automated Mobility on Demand requires the support of a technology ecosystem.
“We are delighted INRIX selected AWare to harness the massive new data streams that this ecosystem will produce, and we are excited to welcome the OpenCar platform to help transform how users interact with this new class of highly automated on-demand vehicles.”
"We are excited to welcome the OpenCar platform to help transform how users interact with this new class of highly automated on-demand vehicles."
OpenCar includes Framework and Simulator softwares that allow portability from one vehicle to the next, as well as content development simultaneously with automobile production, respectively.
Additionally, InsideTrack tools of OpenCar facilitate collaboration among both content providers and content provides access to INRIX driver services, third party apps and integrated content.
The firms intend to use INRIX analytic tools, which currently track movement patterns of roadways and populations, to utilise new data streams obtained from HAVs that are powered by AWare.
By integrating the open, white-label, digital OpenCar dashboard platform to operate on AWare-powered HAVs, the firms plan to enable the creation of new applications for passengers using on-demand HAVs.
