Ecoslops, the first company the first company to develop technology to produce recycled marine fuels from marine oil residues (‘slops’) , announced that it seeks permission from the French authorities to start operating an oil residue waste-processing unit at La Mède, near Marseilles in partnership with Total group.

Under this partnership, Ecoslops said it will have a majority stake. The company anticipates to receive the authorization as soon as possible in order to start the building of its unit. It expects to start in mid 2018 and be operational by the end of same year.

Ecoslops informed that the new micro-refinery unit will have a capacity of 30,000 tons per year.

The company uses a unique micro-refining industrial process that transforms residues into commercial products that meet international standards.
