The first passengers ship carrying the Holy Shrines pilgrims to depart Khorramshahr port

 TIN news:  According to The Public Relations Office of Khorramshahr Port and Maritime Organization, Mr. Adel Deris announced the launch of Khorramshahr - Basra passenger line.

Valfajr Shipping Company, maritime passenger line of Khorramshahr - Basra will be launched, and the first ship will depart on birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA) (20 April 2014) Khorramshahr Port heading to Basra Port in Iraq.
 
He added: as to that date our dear compatriots can go through the sea border of Khorramshahr port by referring to the international Persian Gulf Passenger Terminal, singly or in convoy to travel to Iraq.
 
Considering close distance of Khorramshahr port to Basra port, Deris said: an agreement was made with the other side shipping company that if this matter has been welcomed by fellow pilgrims in Iraq and Iran, number of ships and trips in this line will be increased.
 
Directorate General of Khorramshahr Port and Maritime Organization has pointed out to the activity of marine passenger line between Khorramshahr - Kuwaiti ports adding that International Persian Gulf Passenger Terminal has two berths with handling capacity of more than 1200 passengers per day, and considered as the most equipped marine passenger terminal in the region that corresponds to the international standards
