London’s Gatwick Airport launches AirPortr luggage transfer service

TIN news:         London's Gatwick Airport has partnered with luggage delivery service provider AirPortr to launch the facility for its passengers.

Travellers opting for the service will be able to benefit from the same-day, on demand luggage delivery that will eliminate the need for them to carry heavy bags.

Aimed at providing a stress-free travel experience to travellers, the service will see AirPortr sending its team of concierges and drivers to collect and deliver baggage to passengers.
"Carrying heavy bags on the journey to and from the airport can now be a thing of the past for our passengers."

Gatwick premium and business services product manager Toby Tait said: "The arrival of AirPortr now means that the convenience our passengers experience at the airport extends to their travel to and from Gatwick.

"Carrying heavy bags on the journey to and from the airport can now be a thing of the past for our passengers."

The service will be available at what the company claims is an affordable price, and can be booked both in advance or on the day of travel

AirPortr customer experience head Chris Walsh said: "Since launching the AirPortr experience we have overwhelmingly seen how the service literally changes the way people now plan and make their journeys.

"More time to do what you want and need to do versus having your luggage inconveniently dictating your itinerary i.e. what we like to think is truly travelling with 'Luggage Freedom'."
