Iran seeking direct petrochemicals exports to Europe, Asia

TIN news:    Managing Director of Iranian Petrochemical Commercial Company (PCC) expressed the hope that the country would be able to start direct export of petrochemical goods to Europe with settlement of banking and financial exchanges problems between Iran and the West.
 
35 percent of Iranian petrochemical exports have been carried out via the company, he said, adding, “Now given routine exports activities and hopes regarding ease of sanctions, we have had some visitors from large European and Japanese companies and also from those whose contacts have been cut with us due sanctions.”
 
He added that the countries have called for receiving Iranian petrochemical products.
 
“In Geneva deal, the name of the Iranian Petrochemical Commercial Company with PCC brand has been removed from the list of sanctions and we face better situation in exports.”
 
He further added that direct exports to Europe and signing long-term contract with large companies would make it possible for the PCC to sign contracts for funding and financing projects.
 
The official added Iran sent 1.4 million tons of poly-ethylene to China last year, started on March 21, 2013, 33 percent of the export has been carried out via PCC.
