Iran, Hungary to boost nuclear energy ties

TIN news:  Iran and Hungary will sign a contract on expanding cooperation on nuclear energy to further cement bilateral ties, Hungarian Deputy PM Zsolt Semjén said

Zsolt Semjén made the remark in a meeting with Governor of Isfahan on Tuesday night, adding that the contract would be signed between the two countries’ high-ranking officials on April 8, Mehr News Agency reported.
“At present, Hungary is keen on expanding any kind of cooperation and relations with Iran in the political, economic and cultural fields,” he said. “We are also urging for Iran’s closer ties with the EU.”
He went on to add, “In the near future, managers of major Iranian and Hungarian banks will ink a number of MoUs to increase economic transactions.
 “A contract on production of 600 buses with participation from both sides has been drafted and a Hungarian bank has undertaken the funding for the project which amounts to 85 million euros,” he said.
On Saturday, the high-ranking Hungarian delegation will hold a joint meeting with President Rouhani and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, he added.
Hungarian deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén and his accompanying delegation arrived in Tehran on April 1, hosted by Deputy-President for Parliamentary Affairs Hosseinali Amiri.
