Finnish firm wins TGV lighting contract

TIN news:   SNCF has selected Finnish company Teknoware to supply LED interior lighting for the refurbishment of its Alstom-built TGV Duplex double-deck high speed train fleet.
The contract covers the supply of main lighting elements housed in opening ceiling frames on both sides of the aisles, as well as indirect mood lighting, dimmable lighting and an emergency lighting mode. The new lights are intended to offer an extended lifecycle with lower maintenance and operating costs
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2017, and could run until 2025 if SNCF confirms all options which would cover a total of 59 trainsets.
